Professional Boxing Replay starting in 1900
This universe is a replay of professional boxing starting in 1900. Since it is a Professional Boxing Replay, the governing body will be the PBR.
Each fighter will begin his career in the year he actually started. The computer will decide when they retire.
Here are the aging stages:
- Pre-prime after 5-15
- Prime after 10-15
- Post-prime after 15-30
- End after 10-20
- Retire after 5-15
Fighters will have between 45 and 90 fights in their careers.
Fighters that debut in a given year will fight as follows:
- First six months...4 rounds with 40 days rest against TC's
- Next 12 month...6 rounds with 60 days rest against TC's
- Next 18 months...8 rounds with 90 days rest against TC's
After three years the fighters will join the ranks of the PBR. PBR boxers will fight 10 round bouts with at least 120 days rest.
Fighters in contention for a championship bout, usually top 10 fighters, will fight 12 round bouts with at least 120 days rest.
Champions will have to defend their title twice a year against a top 10 fighter.
I simmed 10 years, so that beginning in 1900 real fighters have their careers already established.
Some top fighters have already been retired by the computer.
- James Corbett
- George Dixon
- Bobby Dobbs
- Young Griffo
- Harry Laing
- Peter Maher
- Tommy Ryan
The PBR will have 8 weight divisions.
Championship bouts will be scheduled in the first six months of 1900. Hopefully, along the way there will be some rematches of historical bouts.
