Seattle Mariners v. Boston Red Sox

The Mariners come to town to take on the Red Sox having lost nine of their last ten, including three to Boston last week in Seattle.

Currently in fourth in the AL West, the Mariners (24-36) trail the Texas Rangers (33-29, .532) by 8 games. Seattle ranks 13th in the American League in runs (247) and 12th in runs allowed (309). Boston, on the other hand, is second in the AL in runs scored (350) and 1st in runs allowed (235). Star pitcher Felix Hernandez (5-4, 2.72 ERA) will miss the series after suffering a strained hamstring in his last start. He is expected to be out of action for two weeks.
