New York Rangers win Lord Stanley's Cup
New York fans celebrated and praised GM Brian Burke as the team claimed another Stanley Cup title, the 4th in team history.
Led by Henrik Lundquist (47-19-2, 2.65 GAA, .920 SV%), the Rangers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 to win the Cup for the first time since 1994. Center Matt Cullen (24 games, 8g, 24a, +5) was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.
