ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Devil Rays were pleased to see catcher Charles Johnson was recognized as the best defensive catcher in the American League this year as he won the Gold Glove award.

It is the third time Johnson has taken home the award. He won the Gold Glove as the Florida Marlins catcher in 1995 and 1996.
