Reliever Ryan signs with Rays
Tampa Bay inks former Boston hurler to deal

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Devil Rays signed relief pitcher Ken Ryan to a minor league contract today, adding the 31-year-old to their AAA squad.
Ryan went 2-1 with an 8.20 ERA in 15 appearances with the Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants last season. He owns a career record of 20-19 with 35 saves and a 3.78 ERA in 290 appearances. Ryan is best known for his time with the Boston Red Sox. From 1992-1995, he was an effective reliever for the Red Sox, going 2-3 with 13 saves and a 2.44 ERA in 42 games for Boston in 1994.
