Veteran lefty Lloyd signs minor league deal

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Devil Rays continue to add veteran depth to their AAA affiliate as they signed left-handed reliever Grame Lloyd to a minor league deal this afternoon.

Lloyd, 32, made 22 appearances out of the Kansas City Royals bullpen last season, going 2-0 with a 7.90 ERA and 1.83 WHIP. In 30 games with Kansas City's AAA affiliate, Lloyd went 4-1 with 3 saves and a 3.40 ERA in 30 games.

The Australian-born reliever owns a 16-28 career record with 10 saves and a 4.71 ERA in 332 games with several teams.
