Hall Of Fame To Open

July 27th 1998 - The European Baseball League has announced today that they will be opening their Hall Of Fame in the coming offseason.

The newly purpose built building in Bratislava, Slovakia will open it's doors to the public on November 16th this year - one day after the enshrinement of the first class of between 5 and 10 players.

The city of Bratislava was chosen after intense debates between the member nations of the EBL. No-one wanted to see the Hall Of Fame open in a city with a current EBL or minor league franchise, due to the perceived advantage this city would obtain in through traffic. Bratislava is definitely large enough to host a venture of this nature and is fairly centrally located within Europe.
