Top Performance: Cap Anson was 2-for-2 with a pair of homers, 4 RBI, 2 walks and 2 runs scored in a 6-5 win over Los Angeles on April 17.
Injuries: Aubrey Huff is set to come off the DL any day now and says he's fully recovered from the high ankle sprain suffered during spring training March 23.
Round Trip (Four miscallaneous points about the team):
1) Deacon White has hit in all 15 games so far for Memphis.
2) White's team-leading average has
Oscar Charleston beat by 2 points.
3) The expected punch of Charleston and
Ichiro Suzuki hitting back-to-back has been stalled by Suzuki's slow start. He's batting only .255 and has yet to draw a walk.
4) The most remarkable part of
Jesse Tannehill's amazing start? He's posted that 0.39 ERA over three starts while striking out
2 batters.
Record: Last 2 Weeks (3-8), Overall 4-9
2-Week Synopsis: Swept in 4 at Orlando, Swept in 2 at New York, Swept 2 at Philadelphia, Lost 2 or 3 vs Las Vegas

Top Performance: Mark Prior threw a complete game 4-hitter, striking out 11 while allowing only 1 run - a 9th inning RBI double to
Lip Pike, in a 9-1 win against Las Vegas April 17.
Injuries: Seth McClung - disabled since March 18 with a sore shoulder - is eligible to come off the 15-day DL at any time, though the team says he is likely 2 weeks from returning.
Round Trip (Four miscallaneous points about the team):
1) Topsy Hartsel was named Southern League Player of the Week last week, having hit .476 (10-for-21) with 3 homers, 7 RBI and 4 runs scored.
2) There is some definite potential in this rotation, but this is a poor lineup.
Ross Barnes and
Sam Thompson are going to have to carry things, as beyond that there is little there. This team has scored a Southern League-low 43 runs so far.
3) Dontrelle Willis has been knocked around horribly so far, giving up 24 hits over 13 2/3 innings in his 3 starts to the tune of a 10.54 ERA. While excellent in his last start,
Mark Prior had posted a 14 ERA in his first two outings as well.
4) Running hasn't been part of manager
Tony LaRussa's game so far, but he's picked his spots. The Knights are 3-for-3 in steals...
Curtis Granderson has 2 and
Topsy Hartsel has the other.
