Why wouldn't OOTP offer to sell OOTP9 at full price with a free upgrade to OOTP10 once the pre-order special price deal for OOTP10 is available?
It would seem to me to be a rational business strategy.
Maybe they continue to sell numerous OOTP9 games without making the offer - that would easily explain why. Or maybe the free upgrade to 10 would be a logistical problem.

Great idea, I wish all companies did that. Then when I bought my 2008 Ford Ranger, at a discount, just before the 09's came out, I could go back and get an 09 for free. That would make me
a lot.
