Boston (N) - The team announced that it is moving to Milwaukee. They will now be known as the Milwaukee Braves.

Cincinnati - The team announced that due to the anticommunist hysteria, they are changing their nickname. They will now be known as the Cincinnati Redlegs.

Philadelphia (A) & Philadelphia (N) - The teams announced that their home ballpark has been renamed. The ballpark's new name is Connie Mack Stadium.
