Drew, Clark go deep in Mid-Summer Classic

NEW YORK — The National League won the All Star Game at Yankee Stadium, 3-2 over the American League.
New York Mets outfielder J.D. Drew hit a solo home run off Buddy Groom in the third inning for the NL, while New York Yankees firstbaseman Will Clark hit a two-run shot off Tom Gordon in the fourth inning.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Sammy Sosa hit a pinch-hit single to score Houston Astros outfielder Bobby Abreu in the top of the ninth inning with what would prove to be the game-winning run.
