American Association

St. Louis Browns 37-17
Baltimore Orioles 34-19
Columbus Buckeyes 33-21
Pittsburgh Alleghenys 28-24
Cincinnati Red Stockings 26-27
Louisville Eclipse 25-27
Philadelphia Athletics 16-37
New York Metropolitans 13-40

The two-team race in the AA has turned into a three-team race, as the Baltimore Orioles are currently on an eleven-game winning streak that has catapulted them into the thick of the pennant battle. This team is no fluke; they have young stars Ed Whiting (.315) and Jerry McCormick (.302) leading the way, and are getting help from NL mainstays Jim O'Rourke (.272) and Count Sensenderfer (.250) as well as many others. Indeed, not a single regular player is batting under .249. Furthermore, their two pitchers, Bill Wise (13-7) and Terry Larkin (12-5), are having good years as well. This could be very competitive down the stretch.
