If you read everything, you'd see that nowhere did they say you're going to be blamed "no matter what you do"
Tell me something, if you met a new girl and were invited over to her house, how would you feel if her parents were less than polite with you?
You say new members don't have much experience in forums or the internet. So, is there something wrong with making them feel welcome and being a little extra nice to do so? Same as the girls parents. Wouldn't you feel better if they treated you a little extra nice to make you feel welcome?
