You say new members don't have much experience in forums or the internet. So, is there something wrong with making them feel welcome and being a little extra nice to do so? Same as the girls parents. Wouldn't you feel better if they treated you a little extra nice to make you feel welcome?

As I said before, I am who I am, and the reason I am not a diplomat is because I tend to be blunt and if that is offensive to some....tough. Just ignore me. I'm not going to change just to keep from hurting someone's dainty feelings. I thought these were adults on here, not a bunch of 6 year old kids.
The problem is that apparently some people take some things the wrong way and then blame the person who said it rather than verify the intent. There is a lot of that on here and any other place where real personal contact is non existent.
