Fighter of Week 6#
The fighters of the week for, Week 6# were:
1) Mark Johnson FLY Washington D.C.
(The now 8-3 (6) Mark Johnson earns top honors for once again proving those who doubt his ability to beat world class opponents, with so little pro experience under his belt, wrong. His win over the world rated Italian, Salvatore Fanni 21-1-1 (12) went a long way towards providing evidence that Johnson is deserving of fighting in the "Fly Weight World Championship" tournament despite only having 8 wins to his credit.)
2) Shane Knox LIGHT Australia
(The 17-0-2 (10) Australian rallied over the final 2 rounds with a rapidly swelling shut eye to achieve a minor upset over the highly regarded Rafael Ruelas.)
3) Riddick Bowe HEAVY Brooklyn, NY
("Big Daddy" was impressive in winning a unanimous decision over fellow star amatuer Olympian Francesco Damiani. Bowe managed to turn what looked like a fairly competitive matchup on paper into a onesided romp in his favor. The now 28-0 (23) Bowe, the big kid with the huge smile and reputation as an underachiever, is a force to be reckoned with in the "Heavy Weight Championship" tournament. With Eddie Futch in his corner, the reckoning can be expected to increase as time goes on.)
