Edgar Martinez walks five times in a single game - only Jimmie Foxx has walked more times in the 20th century. He walked his first three PA, the first three walks that the Jays' SP gave up. He then was given an intentional walk in the sixth, but later grounded into a fielder's choice to send the game to extra innings.
Being the King of Clutch, however, Edgar stepped up when the Mariners needed him, as he came to the plate in the bottom of the eleventh with the bases loaded with two men out, and Edgar did his special trick, as closer Bryan Eversgerd missed the plate with a count of 3-2, and Edgar Martinez won the game for the Seattle Mariners with a walk-off walk!
