RatingsAnalysis

Just a quick notefor the continuing ratings I am posting.

1.All fighters are rated in the tradional 8 weight classes only. I have never thought the super or junior classes were needed good and great fighters have always moved up and around in the 8 classes and continue to do so.
EG- just rated Mitchell as a LW.

2. A major feature of these ratings are that they give very accurate ratings for pre, prime, post and end career stages regarding effects to the ratings for that particular fighter and the historical time period in reality the fighter moved career stages.
I hate the 1 size fits all ammendments made as in each case different qualities and skills are affected.

3.Generally I have long had the opinion the ratings need to get stretched wider over the 0-15 expanse to make all ratings more accurate, original, specific and unique.
All these ratings have had extensive thought and research put into them
and no decision to change anything was taken lightly.
I have to say though it is scary and depressing how little the ratings resemle how many fighters actually fought.

4. Left handed - dont freak when you see how many non southies have got rated as such. I use this to model many effects that could effect results that are impossile to show any other way.
Listons and Tysons terror aura, Ali and Leonards mind games, Marciano and La Motta's relentless assaults, Hamed's sheer awkward angles Tunneys detailed research on opponents. all these factors and more can have a place here.

5.Styles- these are often very wrong either should occur rarely.

6. Conditioning- a wider use of all12 ratings.

7. Defense- this is a very wide catergory which could and should model qualities other than classical defense.
