I've looked to the best of my ability--no snickering please--but I cannot seem to find any evidence of a MLB logo that pre-dates the current version. I'm looking for the version that would have been used in the 40's, 50's. The current logo is too modern for my retro preference--and lacking any PS skills to speak of, I wouldn't be able to create anything that I would then want to use myself...

If anybody out there has it, knows what it looked like, or can simply verify that no such logo ever existed, that would be much appreciated.
