White Sox Notes
Scott Linebrink
Seems a little underrated. His in-game projection is for a 4.68 ERA. However the following are his "real-world" projections.
PECOTA = 4.33
ZIPS = 4.29
Marcel = 4.09
Bill James = 3.53
As you can see the in-game projection is much higher than the others. Also, his last 3 years he has been at 3.69, 3.71, and 3.57 respectively. I think this has to do with his stuff rating. Specifically, I think his slider is rated too low at an 18 rating right now. He threw it 14% of the time last year while only throwing his splitter 4% of the time. His Change he threw 20% and FB 62% of the time. I would think the slider rating would be a little higher than a well-below average 18 if he threw it that much. His FB could probably use a slight boost to a tick above major league average as well
I was expecting to add more players, but at first glance everything else looks awesome right now. Terrific job fellas!
