I've been playing a dynasty started in v4 and imported to each new version. The start year is 2002 using the Rolen17(Erich) real MLB roster. I am in spring training of the 2018 season, so 16 full seasons and starting my 17th. I get two or three seasons in with each version. I should really start playing year round but I tend to move to WWSM or NBA 2k in the winter.

I play with the Cubs. The 2002 roster included Mark Prior at AAA who I promoted and of course Kerry Wood. Wood is long gone but Prior is now 37 years old with 305 career wins and I've managed every one of them. There's still a number of the original MLB players in the game. Drew Henson is playing for Atlanta and has 543 career homers. Adam Dunn now with Boston has 562 homers. Griffey Jr retired HOF 707 career homers. The list goes on and on.

The fictional players that have come into the league over the years are approaching milestones like 500 HR's. My HOF to be catcher, Forrets "Gump" Avera will break the 500 mark if he can stay healthy in the next two years. He was moved to 1b two years ago when I was able to get a good young catcher in a trade.

The game is so immersive and the history so deep a guy could write a book about it and the reader would think it was all real.
