I played out 2 full seasons so far and this is what I have for stats.
Season one I was not aware of this K thing all the time so I actually tried to use them. Had a total of 291 pinch hit at bats and had 22 hits for a .076 batting average. Of those times that the Pinch hitters tried, they struck out 227 times. I used everything I had, starters, backups minor leaguers. Everything.
So 2nd season I had 311 pinch hits with my new idea and I have 61 hits for a .196 average and only struck out 55 times. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
I don't want my pinch hitters to be perfect or anything but I would like some hits.

see thats what i'm getting at. 23% more k's for pinch hitters seems reasonable, but the numbers you described is where I'm heading, and that doesn't seem realistic.
ANd in a non-dh league, what sense does it make to pinch hit for a pitcher who has a 15% chance of getting a hit for a guy with a nominal .275 avg that truly has a 7% chance? More so, often you just need the pitcherspot to put the ball in play... which pinchhitters cant do in this game
