I have the exact same problem.
Jan 1st completed inaguaral draft. All rosters filled.
When I hit finish day...it would not advance to Jan 2 because... draft not completed.
When I go back to try and finish the draft, no options exist to auto draft.
No luck in advancing to Jan 2nd.
