the 2nd vs 2nd last playoff also solves the issue about tiebreakers because if first and 2nd are tied, ootp will run a playoff to determine which of the two are the champions because it needs to figure which of the two go into the playoff. This is how I figure it anyway, though have never had a tie between two teams in this position to see if it does work that way.
