Well, I just decided to keep going and treat 1949 as a year something weird happened and the Braves were all quarantined or something.

I'm up to 1974 now. Ted Williams is the Home Run champ with 620. There have been only 2 300 game winners, Chief Bender (368!) and Ray Collins (344). Rogers Hornsby is the all-time hits leader with 3942.

We had a dynasty in the 50s, with the Cardinals winning 4 out of 5 consecutive world series. The 1949-1950 was the first back-to-back, then they did it again in 52-53. The A's had only the 2nd back-to-back in 73-74.

The game will only let you add an even number of expansion teams at a time, so i decided to save Texas until 1977 to go alongside Toronto. The first expansion team to rise to the Premier league was the Mets in 1972. No other expansion has been promoted yet.

The last of the original teams to get demoted was the Braves in 1949. Only 2 original teams haven't won the pennant so far: The Red Sox and the White Sox.

I'll probably get to 1984 today, where I think I'll take over whatever team gets demoted and play out the games, so things will slow down considerably.

Thanks for this great set-up. I'm having quite a bit of fun!!

I decided to turn the DH on in 1975. Not sure why since I hate the DH.
