With 5-team divisions, of course one team must not be in a matchup on any given game day. The 4-team and 6-team divisions would thus also need to have some scattered cases of teams not playing to make all the divisions play across the same length of time.
For the second schedule, I assume "2 game schedule" means "2 game series". I would recommend 76 games so that 2-game series work out with even total home and away splits for all teams. You say an offday between games, and I think that means between the games of the 2-game series. Presumably an offday would be slotted between series also so that teams play every other day.
