July 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche
18th July 2011
American League Player of the Week:
SS Jeffrey Baisley (.529, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 7 R - Oakland) - .323, 25 HR, 68 RBI
National League Player of the Week:
CF Matt Kemp (.444, 3 HR, 3 RBI, 4 R - Los Angeles) - .348, 26 HR, 71 RBI
Is a split four games series against the Cardinals, the first sign of the well known 2nd half slump? The next four games at Cincinnati - a team we are 4-4 against this season - will certainly show. Also 2010 CY Young winner Carlos Villanueva has to show something. I'm not sure if I accept his ERA to go above 5.00. We also activated the long injured Trevor Plouffe from the 60-day DL. He will see playing time at AAA - Nashville, but his chances to ever make it back to the big leagues are not much higher than 50 %.

Our 2007 1st round draft pick and Nashville closer Ángel Tapia (3-7-17, 3.46 ERA) will get a chance to play in the big leagues, while Ian Snell (3-0, 3.86 ERA) moves to the starting rotation.
