Elsewhere:

Marmots
3B Willy Aybar (.283, 5 HR, 33 RBI) is out for the season with a ruptured medial collateral ligament.

Also the Indians CF Grady Sizemore (.248, 7 HR, 34 RBI) played his last game in 2011 as he suffered a fractured wrist today.

Trades:

St. Louis
sent LF Chris Duncan (.248, 5 HR, 28 RBI) to the division leading Nationals in exchange for 2B Gilbert Murphy (.259, 4 HR, 18 RBI, 1 SB).

The Twins sent reliever Joe Nathan (2-2-4, 3.24 ERA) and $3,000,000 in cash to their divisions rivals from Toronto for C Javier Valentin (.298, 2 HR, 11 RBI). Even if Nathan becomes a free agent after this season, this trade looks crazy.
