A straight import will indeed NOT import whatever the master.csv file says the pitcher threw.

More strange is then that when you got a "dynasty" with imported pitchers you CANīT change the selection of pitches in the editor.

Saving and getting back the pitcher still shows the "wrong selection" on the screen. Looking in the Editor part it shows the "edited" "correct selection" you yourselve edited.

No way you can get the correct pitch selection by doing the hard work of editing each and every one in the OOTP editor.

HOWEVER I found this roundabout for the problem (which of course is a monster work)

Having the whole roster exported to a text file and then changing the values of the pitches and the selection worked out 100% when you then imported the text-file.

Naturally this might only work when the dynasty is set up. Else you might have to keep exporting-importing rosters every new year.
Truly a monster work.

BUT AT LEAST the function of changing pitch selection is possible.

Now I hope Markus can work out from this testing about importing and changing pitch selections.

Any help ??

Sorry I have overstretched the problem a little bit.
If this might help the changing of already imported pitch selection have something to do with having scouts sets ON.
If you unclick the scouts and then re-click scouts on the pitcher indeed get the new version of pitch selections.

However this was just a smaller part of the large issue.

Pitch selections DOESNīT import correctly. Need ASAP to be fixed.
One of the game sell issues....

As I said in a different thread...
Why not make a new file (like injuries, financials etc) and have players import different pitches for those who actually did add or took away a pitch over their long career.

Having recalc on as normal in Historical settings the development of different pitches (even adding a new pitch) is put out of play.

Like Dennis Eckersley threw Fastball, Curve, Slider as a starter then only Fastball and sliders as a closer. (Neyer/James book Guide to Pitchers)

It will much more realistic if a pitcher actaully imported a new set of pitches every year (and so for outfield things)

A brand new file instead of "messing around" with a "standard" file from Lahmann a new file could much more easily be "edited" (like injuries) by players finding some small "mistakes" in the master.csv file.

Options of whatever pitches a certain pitches actually threw will always be debated. Leave that to the vast majority of players liking to keep editing and improve the game.
Just look at Injury-Log making up a fine new injury file that was included in OOTPX as I understand it.

Rethink for OOTP11, but fix the import as is ASAP.
