Thank You for the Good Luck wishes
Major League IV is looking for fresh faces. The reasoning for the openings are many but not due to the lack of confidence in the front office in not only my abilities as a Commissioner but those of my Co-Commissioner. The league was established in 1999 and moved to OOTP in 2002. We have had our share of ups and downs as any league will over the course of time. There have been a few restarts in our history, two by choice and one not by choice but due to certain circumstances.
The now 17 openings were not a mass exit by former owners; it has been a slow process over the course of several seasons. Some left and moved on to OOTP 9 when it came out. The majority of the league voted to stay with OOTP 8. We lost 3 when the league decided to move to OOTP 10 who couldn’t afford to purchase OOTP 10 due to their current economic situations which is understandable.
Some owners have been removed for being inactive. I rather have an interim owner (an active owner who serves temporarily) or the A.I. fill in until a replacement is found. Over an owner that’s not active or no long has the interest in maintaining the day to day operations of his team.
I recently looked at the numerous leagues I have collected in my favorites over the past several years that I have played Out of the Park Baseball. Sadly to say only 6 out of the 15 to 20 that I liked to check in on from time to time are still active leagues. One thing I can say about Major League IV with certainty is that we will be around for a lot longer, even if is only with an handful of owners. As long as they continue to enjoy their experience in the league I will continue to devote my time and effort into the league.
