Pladner's (below left) career took in 133 bouts. He won the European and World Flyweight title as well as a domestic Bantamweight crown. He defeated Corporal Izzy Schwartz before knocking out Frankie Genaro in a round. His challenge to Panama Al Brown for the World Bantamweight crown lasted two minutes.

Espadas stopped Alfonso Lopez in 1976 to win the WBA Flyweight title. He held onto it for two years before dropping a close points decision to Betulio Gonzalez.
