Schwartz defeated Newsboy Brown to win the NYSAC Flyweight Title. The light hitting New Yorker defeated the likes of Routier Parra, Frisco Grande and Frenchy Belanger. Schwartz found the move up to Bantamweight beyond him, losing in a World title attempt to Bushy Graham.

Chitalada stopped Charlie Magri in only his ninth pro contest to win the WBC version of the Flyweight title. He held the title for over three years before travelling to Japan and dropping a points decision to Yong Kan Kim. Chitalada won back the crown from Kim on home soil and defended it for another two years before being stopped for the first time in his career by Muangchai Kittikasem.
