Mets franchise 3B David Wright (.303, 15 HR, 75 RBI) will miss up to eight months with a ruptured collateral ligament. A big blow to wild-card bound New Yorkers, who easily took over as "Nr.1 team" in town in recent years.

We lost the series against the Giants, but might have won the division before 20th September. The three other save playoff bets are the Kansas City Royals (85-58), the Florida Marlins (88-56) and the New York Mets (87-57).
