Congratulations mate---that's something I've not done yet (that I can remember) in years of play (at least, in played-out games...I think I've done it in simmed period before).

Coincidentally, I just about threw one myself tonight...John Davis (of my fictional Vancouver team) gave up a 1-out double in the 7th, which became the only baserunner my oppenent got during the game. Davis, a 9-8 pitcher this season with a 4+ ERA, threw only 99 pitches (66 strikes) enroute to a 1 hit, 0 walk, 10 K game against the league leaders.

I'd determined at the start of the game not to let him get much above 80 pitches, as he was on short rest due to injury of another SP --- but he was throwing so well, that despite having only a 1-0 lead, I kept him in to finish the game. He didn't disappoint, inducing an infield popup, a strikeout looking, and a short outfield flyout to end what will undoubtedly be the game of his career.

One hit short of a perfect game.....one of these days I'll get it
