Jr. Middle Weight WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 12-4-92 (undercard)

10# Laurent Boudani 22-1 (20) France EBU
vs. (12 Rounds)
16# Lloyd Honeyghan 39-6-2 (25) England (post-prime)

- The Frenchman, Laurent Boudani, was a rising star in Europe. Less than a week before meeting Honeyghan he had won the European title with an impressive round 3 KO of Jean-Claude Fontana. A silver medalist at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, professional boxing expectations were high for Boudani. Lloyd Honeyghan, although past his prime [post-prime rated], would be his most formidable opponent to date.
- Lloyd Honeyghan had shown while being destroyed by Chris Pyatt in his last fight that his best days were well behind him.
- The talent of the 26 year old Boudani cannot be denied. The European Champion is for real and proved that in a complete destruction of Lloyd Honeyghan. After a feeling out first round, Boudani dished out a beating until ending putting the Englishman down for the count at 2:25 of round 5.
