2# Gianfranco Rosi 57-5-1 (17) Italy IBF WBA

- All of the available 18,500 seats were filled.
- The fight was moved from Italy to Monaco after the camp of Norris demanded that the fight take place at a more neutral site.
- The referee was from Australia. The 3 judges were from Panama, Canada, and France.
- Both fighters entered the ring in excellent condition. Norris focused on his power in training, with mixed results.
ROUND 1: (Rosi 18-12)
ROUND 2: (Rosi 24-22)
ROUND 3: (Norris 27-18)
After 3 rounds the scorecard of Ringside Expert Tom Trunzo had Rosi in front 30-27.
ROUND 4: After boxing on his toes in the first 3 rounds Norris aggressively fought on the inside and produced positive results immediately. A blistering Norris combination put Rosi on the canvas where he was counted out at 1:11.
- Immediately after the fight, the braintrust of Norris expressed that they were looking forward to fighting the new 1# Mandatory Contender, Vinny Pazienza, early in 1993.
