Stupendous 6s Round 1 Fight 24
Bruce Woodcock vs. Duncan Dokiwari – The Nigerian landed a smashing uppercut early on, and Woodcock was hurt, and cut outside his right eye, to boot . Bruce covered up, evading any further damage, but Dokiwari had drawn first blood, literally, 6-3.
Duncan opened the 2nd with another stunning uppercut, and the cut was reopened ! His hook kept finding a home and he built a nice lead, winning 14-6, Woodcock making it respectable with a spot-on uppercut of his own just before the bell!
Dokiwari targeted the eye and reopened the cut early in the 3rd . He landed a solid right hook, but Woodcock answered with one of his own. Bruce owned the last minute, his crosses and combinations finding a ready target, and he pulled away for a needed 13-8 round, his corner anxious to work on that cut!
Desperate, Bruce came out swinging in the 4th, figuring the best defense for his eye was a good offense . He ripped a savage combination home to start the round, then a laser left. Duncan covered up, and Bruce penetrated with a gnarly hook! Teeing off, he blasted 2 major uppercuts home, and Dokiwari was staggered ! After a few lighter uppercuts, he uncorked a dazzling cross, and the referee had seen enough. With the score 28-0, a helpless and hapless Dokiwari was helped back to his corner, Bruce Woodcock winning by a TKO at 1:48 of the 4th!
