Virtually unknown Jacob Marceaux gave the Cubs a very hard time and became our first 2-game winner. A Kendry Morales pinch hit grandslam was the offensive key event, that allowed us to win our first homeseries and receiving standing ovations. The Cubs with their $100,000,000 payroll are tied for last with the Brewers in the NL Central.
Elsewhere:
Baltimore SS Miguel Tejada (.273, 0 HR, 3 RBI) collected his 2500th career hit in a 10-2 loss against Boston.
The Dodgers gave C Ramon Hernandez (.333, 3 HR, 5 RBI) a new 2-year contract worth $15,380,000.
