April 2012 - Winnipeg Bisons
Manager and GM Fritsche
28th April 2012
So here came our first series loss against San Diego, everybody knew it would come, but still kind of odd to lose three out of four when you give up only nine runs in those games. As we are near the end of the season's first month our batting is still wretched (.227), but pitching carries us so far.
The upcoming trip to the again high flying Marlins is another real test. Also because we are not used to such warm weather that early in the year. They are batting .304 (1st) and have a team ERA of 3.34 (3rd).

Marceaux (against his former team) and two relievers pitched an impressive two hitter, whil we only had four hits ourselves. Guess few picked Marceaux as our first pitcher to reach three wins before the season.
Elsewhere:
Atlanta's CF Gregor Blanco (.262, 1 HR, 5 RBI) is out for about a year with a torn rib cage muscle.
