The Yankees and Reds are deadlocked 1 game each as the series moves to Cincinnati’s Crosley Field.The pitchers for game three will be Duke Maas 10-3 with a ERA of 3.46 against the Reds Bob Purkey 20-10 ERA 2.80.
After game two the Yankees skipper got some very good news. Second baseman Bobby Richardson is fully recovered and was removed the DL and will start on Friday. Meanwhile it was also announced that Yankee starter in game two Bob Turley will be out for the remainder of the series.Also the Yanks are without the sevices of ace left hander Whitey Ford who has been out for the season since June.
As for the Reds they were informed that ace Joey Jay who injured his shoulder in game 1 is day to day not very good news for the Reds skipper.
