I don't think this team has had a coach that had any clue about how to use their challenges since the challenge system came into being. It happened again in this game. Mangini challenges the touchdown catch, when there was nothing in the early replays that showed it would be overturned. No surprise, it was upheld. The problem was, they should have used it two plays earlier. On 2nd and 8, Palmer hit Coles near the sideline for a 4 yard gain. They didn't show a replay but right away I rewound it on my DVR and it certainly didn't look conclusive that he got both feet down before going out of bounds. They showed a better angle of that play during the next Bengal drive to recap the previous drive, and sure enough, that replay showed pretty clearly that the receiver had only one foot down in bounds. If it was challenged, it would have been overturned and would have made it 3rd and 8 instead of 3rd and 4.
What bothers me most about this team this season is how easy EVERY other team makes it look driving down the field on our defense, and how hard our offense makes it look to just get a first down against ANY other defense. Guh.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!
