Devil Rays hit way to win
Tampa Bay lineup rolling against L.A.

LOS ANGELES — The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have taken a 2-1 lead in the World Series after beating the Dodgers, 9-3, in Game 3.
Every player in the starting lineup had at least one hit for the Devil Rays as the team combined for nine runs on 16 hits and four walks against three Dodger pitchers.
Matt Holliday and Lastings Milledge had three hits each for Tampa Bay. Holliday was 3-for-5 with a solo home run off Daniel Cabrera in the fifth inning while Milledge, batting eighth, went 3-for-4 with a run, a RBI and two doubles.
Zack Greinke kept the Los Angeles lineup quiet, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk in six innings. Greinke contributed offensively, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. He hit a two-run single in the second inning, giving Tampa Bay a 2-0 lead.
John Lackey worked the seventh inning for Tampa Bay and lefty Jeff Francis was solid in the eighth and ninth innings for the Devil Rays, throwing two perfect innings of relief, striking out three.
Cabrera took the los for the Dodgers, giving up eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits and three walks in four innings.
Felix Hernandez, 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA this post-season, will take the mound for Tampa Bay in Game 4 of the World Series. He will be opposed by veteran right-hander Jeff Weaver (1-0, 2.03 ERA, 13 1/3 IP in the playoffs).
