April 5th:

Sitting in the office I finalise my line-ups for the start of the season, now I'm not expecting these line-ups to play everyday as I know that loss of form/injuries etc will play their part during the season but i feel these are our strongest line ups at present.

Vs RHP:
1) Young 3B
2) Kinsler 2B
3) Davis 1B
4) Hamilton LF
5) Blalock DH
6) Byrd CF
7) Saltalamacchia C
8) Murphy RF
9) Andrus SS

Vs LHP:
1) Young 3B
2) Kinsler 2B
3) Davis 1B
4) Hamilton LF
5) Byrd CF
6) Jones DH
7) Saltalamacchia C
8) Cruz RF
9) Andrus SS

Our pitching rotation to start the season off is,

1) Millwood
2) Feldman
3) McCarthy
4) M.Harrison
5) Padilla.

In a bid to bolster our bullpen we make an offer for J.Hammel (Colorado Rockies) and C.Perez (St. Louis Cardinals) we're expecting to hear back shortly to see if we're successful in signing them. Hammel could one day make the starting rotation if he could develop another pitch but until he does he'd fill a spot and provide some effective relief from the 'pen. Perez is a hard throwing closer, he may not get the job as closer here but he'd again offer a better arm than what we have in the pen at the moment.
