ABC Announces 1871 Schedule

The ABC announced today that April 1, 1871 will be the Inaugural Opening Day for the league. Teams will begin a 28 game schedule with games scheduled on Friday or Saturday each week. Each team will play the other teams in the league 7 times.
For the first 12 games of the season, the teams will play their games on Saturdays at noon. Starting June 23, 1871, teams will play their games on Fridays at noon. The last day of the season will be October 6, 1871.
