Chicago Leads ABC After First Month!

May 1, 1871

The Chicago White Stockings have gotten off to a tremendous start in this inaugural season for the ABC. Lead by superstar SP Walton Webster, the White Stockings are 5-0 this April. They lead the league with 31 runs scored and they are tied for the lead, with Washington and Cincinnati, with only 17 runs allowed.
