Points of Interest:

Chick Fraser, Christy Mathewson, Harry Howell, and Ned Garvin all toss no hitters during the season.

8 SP win 20+ games in 1905.

Cleveland's pitching staff (top to bottom) was absolutely sick this season, giving up only 2.8 rpg. Well ahead of their AL counterparts. Brooklyn wins a very competitive NL circuit this season. No less than 6 teams were within 7 games of the leaders at season's end, Chicago coming up one game short. The '05 series looked to be a mismatch as Cleveland should be the definite favorite over the Bums. This proved to be somewhat true, but Brooklyn fans did get to see 2 Dodger victories before the Tribe hoisted the flag, becoming the 5th different club to claim the No Pepper Series title in as many seasons.

Minor League Update:
Toronto repeats as AAA champions, besting Minneapolis' Millers in the AAA Series.
The Pittsfield Hillies claimed their first AA title by defeating the Chattanooga Lookouts in the AA Series.
