Red Sox Stun Yankees With Walk-Off Single In11th
Boston,Ma.-In a wild game here at Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox slipped past the New York Yankees by the score of 10-9 thanks to back to back RBI singles by Dave Sax and Reid Nichols in the bottom of the 11th inning.Trailing 8-4 entering the bottom of the 8th,the Sox scored 4 times to force extra innings where in the top of the 11th, the Yankees took a 9-8 lead on a Dave Winfield RBI sac fly, but back to back singles with two out and two on off of New York closer Dave Righetti won the game for Boston.

Royals starter Bud Black(1-0) was simply dominating today, going the distance while allowing 1 run on 3 hits as the royals easily dispatched of the Blue Jays 6-1. KC centerfielder Willie Wilson went 2 for 4 with a double,a homer, an RBI and two runs scored to pace the offense.
Dave Parker's two run triple in the bottom of the 6th snapped a 0-0 tie and buoyed Cincinnati to a 4-1 victory over the Montreal Expos. Reds starter Tom Browning(1-0) went 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 run to get the win, Bill Gullickson(0-1) went the distance in the loss.
