Chicago's RF Ricardo Franco carried a 16 game hitting streak into this season. Combine that with hits in the first 5 games this season and Franco is 3 games away from breaking Greene's hitting streak record. Other notable streaks are Cincinnati Reds' CF Fernando Fuentes with a 19 game streak and last year's Hitter of the Year, LF Bill Gibbs of Baltimore with a 18 game streak.

Sandoval is 3-2 with a 1.47 ERA and 6 Ks this month.

Mendoza is off to a great start this season. He's posted a BA of .500, knocked in 6 runs and scored 6 times on his way to being rewarded with both April's Batter of the Month and Rookie of the Month awards.
