Canaries and Keystones Tied After 28 Games!!

October 7, 1872

Baltimore and Philadelphia entered the final day of the season tied at the top of the standings. Philadelphia traveled to Boston and lost to the Red Stockings, 6-5. Baltimore was at home against the Chicago White Stockings and they lost 4-3. These teams will play each other today to decide the 1872 championship. The game will be in Philadelphia since they won the season series 3-1.
