In a trade that has all of Toronto up in arms, the Toronto Blue Jays have traded promising young players George Bell and Kelly Gruber to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for 28 year old pitcher Mike LaCoss.
In other trade news, the Minnesota Twins have acquired the services of 29 year old relief pitcher Rod Scurry from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for 32 year old 3B Roy Smalley.
