Game 1, Att: 49,102
A game we needed to win. It was a tight game until the 5th when we finally took advantage of having runners on base, Hamilton hit his 2nd homer of the year. McCarthy once agan laid down a marker for the rest of the rotation to show them how it's down and give the bullpen a much needed rest, Strop came in to get the final 2 outs.
Game 2, Att: 48,934
Another win that we made hardwork of. It started with a 4 run 1st and we slowly added it, but to the credit of the White Sox they didn't give up and if they weren't so far behind they may well have won it. Gabbard had a nightmare his first pitch was sent out the stadium and he gave up 4 runs in the 9th, he seems to have slotted in nicely to the bullpen. Byrd hit his 1st homer of the year with 1 on, the White Sox hit 2, The first was by Dye with 1 on for his 3rd of the year and Wise hit his 2nd of the year.
Game 3, Att: 47,983
Padilla had an off day, he just couldn't find the zone, he gave up a few hits and hit a few batters, Hammel got off to a slow start but then produced a nice spell of pitching, During that time we found the zone in the 8th we got some hits and walks and turned a 4 run deficit into a 1 run lead. Francisco then produced the goods in the 9th for his 5th save of the year. Thome hit the only homer of the game in the 6th with 2 on for his 2nd of the year.
